The last weekday of qualifying is now complete, and only Saturdays 3 squads are left to play, before all of the scores bowled are processed to provide the qualifiers for Sundays Grand Finale.

"Pro" Mo Teece gives us the following report:

Friday Winners

The day started in the usual fashion except Snr Miller was absent with authorised leave. So the Tournament Director , Raymond Teece took over the MC duties, introducing the players individually to the lanes. The centre was still on the cold side and this was reflected in the scores. However as the squad progressed the temperature rose to a point that enabled Hadley Morgan representing Tolworth YBC to set a new high game for the tournament of 268, in fact he had a combined total of 1244 with handicap. Second was Steven Smith from Aldershot 1135 and third was David Cooper from Worthing 1121. The Squad included 3 division C players Jamie Gore (Tolworth), Jack and Katie Watson (Tolworth).

The afternoon Squad had several re-entries from the morning squad and some new entries Jake Daggett, Hannah Frost and Will Prime among them. The temperature was rising steadily and so was the scoring pace, it reached a peek in the 3rd game with Miles Corney scoring a perfect 300 game. He also scored a 258 and 257 in his set but still did not win the squad. This astounding achievement fell to the exceptional Hadley Morgan who, in his first re-entry, scored 279,233,227,197,269,268 for a magnificent 1473 scratch 1521 with handicap a 245 average over the set. Miles came second with 1419 and Jake Daggett third with 1259. Other notable scores were Jamie Gore from Division C who shot a 1013 scratch 1133 with handicap that gained him 21st in the overall rankings.

Hadley won an Ebonite Lanebraker as daily winner. He and Miles Corney were the daily qualifiers.
